The Meatball Mothership is exactly what it sounds like: a loaded, saucy, meatball-topped pizza that will absolutely wreck you in the best way. Project Nova is my personal gold standard for vegan pizza in Orlando, and honestly? I think it might be the best vegan pizza I've ever had, full stop.

🍕 The Neighbors — East End Market, Orlando

Order the: Whatever their seasonal pizza is (trust me)

The Neighbors is tucked inside East End Market, one of my favorite spots in Orlando, and it is chef's kiss for vegans. The restaurant is helmed by a vegan chef, so the vegan menu is thoughtful and genuinely delicious — not an afterthought.

The pizza menu rotates seasonally, so whatever they're featuring when you visit is going to be the move. At the time of writing, the seasonal pizza is the "Snowed In" — pesto, garlic cream, caramelized onion, pine nuts, pomegranate, and local arugula — but this changes regularly, so just ask your server what the current seasonal vegan pizza is and go with that. You won't regret it. This is the pizza you order when you want to feel like a real adult. 😂

🍕 Mellow Mushroom — Sanford, Winter Park & Orlando

Order the: Vegan Veg Out Pizza

Mellow Mushroom has a limited vegan menu, but what they do have is really good — and the Vegan Veg Out Pizza is the one to get. Multiple locations across the Orlando area make this a super convenient option when you're craving pizza and don't want to drive far.

🍕 Lazy Moon Pizza — Maitland, UCF & Orlando

Get the: Treehugger Slice

Lazy Moon is a classic Orlando pizza spot, and the Treehugger slice is their vegan-friendly option. Fair warning: Lazy Moon is known for their huge pizza slices — like, comically large. Bring your appetite. The vegan options are pretty good here, and the by-the-slice format makes it super easy to grab a quick bite.

🍕 F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen — Winter Park

Get the: Vegan Mushroom Spinach Pizza

F&D is a more upscale option, and they have a dedicated vegan section of the menu with both pizzas and pasta — which I love to see! The Vegan Mushroom Spinach Pizza is earthy, savory, and feels like a proper restaurant meal. Great for a date night or a fancier outing.

Tips for Ordering Vegan Pizza in Orlando

A few quick things to keep in mind when you're out hunting for vegan pizza:

Always ask about the dough. Most pizza doughs are vegan, but some contain dairy or eggs — especially at fancier spots. A quick "is your dough vegan?" goes a long way.

Specify no cheese, add vegan cheese. At vegan-friendly (but not fully vegan) restaurants, you'll usually need to ask for vegan cheese specifically and make sure they know to leave off the regular mozzarella. Don't assume!
