F&D Cantina Lake Mary (Vegan Guide)
Voted Best Mexican Restaurant by the Orlando Sentinel, F&D Cantina boasts locations in both Lake Mary and Thorton Park dishing up excellent Mexican cuisine--with vegan options! The Lake Mary location is located in the Colonial Towne Park Center by Amstar. We love that their menu has a clearly labeled separate section that notates vegan items. Read below for our guide to eating plant-based at F&D Cantina!
DIPS
Fire-Roasted Salsa and Chips
Choice of Salsa Roja or Verde housemade daily
Guacamole (request without cheese)
Avocado, Tomatoes, Lime Juice, Serrano peppers & F&D spices
VEGAN ENTREES
Sweet Potato Butternut Squash Mole Enchiladas (TSV Pick!)
Served with vegan black beans & plantains
NOTE: This is my favorite thing on the menu. Such a sophisticated flavor I really can't get anywhere else, and would be very difficult to make at home. I always feel incredibly stuffed after enjoying these enchiladas to.

Beyond Tacos (3)
Beyond plant-based sausage, roasted red & yellow peppers, crushed tomato shaved red onion, vegan mozzarella
NOTE: My husband is obsessed with these tacos. He's a bigger fan of savory foods than anything with a hint of sweet (which the enchiladas have) so he always opts for these. In my opinion, it looks like the serving is slightly smaller for these than the mole enchiladas.
WHAT NOT TO ORDER
I don't usually include a section like this in my guides, but because these non-vegan items would be so easy to order I figured I should mention them.
Rice
The rice, unfortunately, is not vegan.
Charro Beans
The traditional black beans ARE vegan, but if you order Charro beans, they will have meat in them.
